Fase II: Build your own synthesiser. Valve distortion module
Fase II is an open series of workshops about building modular synthesisers, where those attending build electronic musical instruments according to their own needs. Given the modular nature of the devices, the series is also modular, and each person can sign up to the workshops he/she wants. In order to for this to be possible, there are two workshops every month (on weekends), and one may choose from any of the modules that are available. Apart from this, we propose a new module every month. The available modules are the following:
(VCO, Low pass VCF, Quad VCA, Quad envelope generator (based on the Buchla 281), noise and randomness generator, power source, Interface Midi/CV,Ring/balanced modulator, Pacht + micro/guitar preamps.

Fase II's first anniversary!! : Build your own synthesiser. Mini sequencer/arpegiattor that allows us to program repetitive rhythmical patterns that can be assigned to any of the parameters on our instruments.Fase II is an open series of workshops about building modular synthesisers that tries to bring electronics closer to musicians and sound artists, teaching them how to build a modular synthesiser from scratch.
Given the modular nature of the device, the series is also modular, and each person can sign up to the workshops he/she wants. In order to for this to be possible, there are two workshops every month (on weekends), and one may choose from any of the modules that are available. Apart from this, we propose a new module every month. To finish, on Sunday we will celebrate Fase II's birthday wih a jam session... a modular one, of course.

Introduction to Digital Photography for Artistic Processes
This intensive course is for anyone who wishes to start looking into the world of photography. With it, we aim to give an overview - but with specific, practical and useful content- of the process of image making within a digital environment.
The choice of a digital camera, or the basic rules of composition when shooting a picture, as well as processing techniques and digital manipulation, are some of the subjects the course deals with, and which intend to bring closer, and put into perspective, the existing complexity of digital photography.
Taught by Daniel Caño (Haut Touch)
Fee: 60€, 30€ for members of the AAVC

Introduction to Cameras and Lighting for Digital Video
The fundamental concepts of lighting and filming on video will be explored through this course. The students will learn to prepare and use a video camera correctly, its parts and functions, as well as the protocol of filming. They will be in contact with basic materials, techniques and resources for lighting, in order to gain control of light in their recordings. The aim will be to understand the importance of light as a fundamental expressive element in all audiovisual works.
