Michel Zózimo (Brazil, 1977).

Michel Zózimo, is a researcher and teacher. Lives and works in Porto Alegre. Hangar resident artist for the month of January 2012 with the support of the Cultural Center of Spain in Sao Paulo and Sao Paulo Cultural Center, winner of the Program Exhibition Centre Cultural de São Paulo in 2010.

In 2011, he published the book Extratégias expansiva, and publication of artists’ spaces in motion, supported by FUNARTE. In 2012 participate in the Itaú Cultural Season and the Palace of Arts of the project.

His research focuses on the poetic possibilities of scientific disciplines through the application of educational content or information material in the second half of the twentieth century. Its interest lies in science fiction going back in the past, where the displacement is a matter of reaching space.

During his residence in Hangar, prepare a publication of the same name, from photographs of 70’s of the magazine of the Centre Catalan Hiking Muntanya. Michel magazine Zózimo Muntanya differs from the original as this new issue does not contain text, but compiled photographic images will be of some wild places in Catalonia that emphasizes human presence explore. The artist will also investigate during their stay on the strange case of the disappearance of a large meteorite that fell in the city of Barcelona.
