Metrònom at Hangar Sound

On April 14th, Hangar hosts Metrònom, a day of live performances with various local and state artists, behind which are the labels Aspecto Humano, Waste Editions and Cold Beats and whichhas the intention of giving echo to a few constantly active artists, but who usually stay out of the habitual circuit of the city.

MYNATIONSHIT (Almería) – Carlos Martín, the boss of Waste Editions, develops his musical interests through the use of synthesizers and drum machines. He elaborates an electronic sound with which it manages to recreate dark atmospheres along with emotional melodies. He tries not to enter into dogmatic musical positions and even almost religious occasions, since he believes that electronic music is a very extensive and free instrument of expression to be able to show and express things. The important thing in this project and what matters is the content of the things, the collaboration, and trying to do things as honestly as possible.

WLDV (Bilbo) – Nathan Church, co-founder of the Eclectic Reactions label and of varied and extensive musical career, began to create in parallel themes based on synthesizers and inspired by electronic music of the 70s and 80s, with a clear influence of Serie B cinema, Sci-fi, and Terror. Some of his works have been and will be published in the recognized labels of the genre such as Giallo Disco and Bordello a Parigi.

LOGICAL DISORDER (Terrassa) – Pseudonym that Javier Barrero uses to vomit his feelings of paranoia, totalitarianism and resistance to hope. Educated in the netlabel scene and far from the commercial circuit, he practices IDM of industrial character, surly, and elusive melodies. His vision of music has two faces, one with a spectrum of light that wants to be reassuring like that of the dreamer traveler, and another more complicated, consisting of an industrial machinery of a tortured and decadent mind.

ANBAU (Barcelona) – Originally a duo, it is currently the solo project of Marcos López. Instigator, composer, and brain of the project, and also co-founder of the label Aspecto Humano. Influenced from the early beginnings by Kraftwerk, the Berlin School, Boards of Canada, and along with other influences especially from the 80s. Inside his live show he alternates the electro of kind character, with a techno of cosmic textures, where he even touches a more mental trance.

LE CLICHÉ (Tarragona – Ireland) – Musical project by Gerard Ryan, professor of marketing at the Rovira i Virgili University. Through electronic music, with a strong influence of the European electropop of the early 80s such as Kraftwerk, John Foxx, Human League, OMD … Le Cliché presents a critical vision of contemporary marketing and society based on consumerism. Ryan returned to the stage in 2016 after more than twenty years without playing in public, in Birmingham, where he was the opening act for Wolfgang Flür, former member of Kraftwerk.
