On December 3rd, at 9.30 p.m., the compilation cassette of the two years of the Finis Africae collective is presented with the groups: Akron, Wunderkammer, Pablo Rega, Miuk, STA, Rayo-60, Tom Chant & Alex Riviriego, Miuk, C-utter, Iniche, Ohmodron, Medio Mentira, Mdou Moctar, Grösso, Kanipchen-Fit.

EVOL are Roc Jiménez de Cisneros and Stephen Sharp, and together they dissect and deconstruct objects of techno culture. Their works have been published by lables such as Diagonal, Entr’acte, Editions Mego, Presto !? The ALKU. Recent recordings include “Flapper That” (Diagonal), “Right Frankfurt” (Diagonal) and “Do These” (Presto !?).

STA Free Dub Ensamble is the meeting of STA and a section of winds coming from the improvisation scene in Barcelona. This union was born with the idea of expanding the structures of the music that STA plays habitually and take them to an insane repetitive terrain and zeeking the mixture with the rough textures of free. In order to do this they will use directed driving and a big amount of chance.

Kanipchen-Fit is a noisy and raucous trio. The songs are simple and direct, two voices, a rough and strong guitar and with unexpected rhythmic and harmonic changes, avoiding the clichés. Aggressive pieces are combined with other melancholic, with a lot of funky in between and grooves that makes us think of Nina Simone, Shuggie Otis, Bad Brains, New Bloods, Trash Kit, Pyramids, X-Ray Spex and ESG.

Cosmic d’Alessandro (aka Cristian Subirà) was born and raised in Barcelona. His love for music started as a kid, when he used to record tapes with his parents’ records. After spending his adolescence obsessed with hardcore, punk and bggy pants, he entered the ESCAC with the intention of making the local version of “Clerks”. He totally failed, but at least he made a couple of friends with whom he began a series of musical adventures. With programs on ScannerFM and Viva Radio, he collaborates with Dublab on a regular basis since 2012.

Entrance fee:

8 € or 10 € with cassette recopilation of the two years of the Finis Africae collective.
