Resolution of the Encura III call

The call for the Encura III residence in Hangar received 43 applications, 32 of them valid.

A jury composed of Lluís Nacenta, director of Hangar, Giuliana Racco, artist and member of the Hangar program committee, Sergi Botella, member of the Hangar team; and Curators’ Networ team member Georg Zolchow (Hablarenarte), were in charge of evaluating the applications for the two Hangar research residencies.

After a long deliberation, the selection committee announced Itinerant Actions – A fieldwork research programme by Luce Choules, as the future resident for a curatorial research residency in Hangar. Luce Choules will complete her curatorial research residency at Hangar for a two-month period, which will take place in February and March 2019. She will work on the development of his project in the workshops together with the artists residing in Hangar.

Likewise, the reserve of the open call Encura III is for Undoing the Spanish Transition: a Post-pornographic Approach by Carlota Mir. The jury recognized the proposal and the high technical standard of the application as particularly interesting.

We sincerely thank all the participants of the call and wish the best to Luce Choules for her residence in Hangar.
