Next September 13th, a new edition of Dorkbot, the community of people who do strange things with electricity in Barcelona, will be celebrated in Hangar, within the framework of Tallers Oberts Poblenou. In this edition, which features projects that focus on music, we will have the collaboration of Brew By Code, an artisan beer specially made for us. The date is in Hangar at 19:00 h. The main protagonists of this Dorkbot are:

Bounceybox, the vintage case turned into a portable music player.
Bounceybox was born more than two years ago with the objective of combining music, design and vintage aesthetics. It is a tribute to the underground culture of the 80s, when the wonderful and huge boomboxes were on the streets. To this we can add two differentiating features, the vintage design and the wireless connectivity, achieving a union in perfect harmony between past and future.
All models are unique due to their creation process and are clearly differentiated from the bluetooth loudspeakers created and mass-produced by the major consumer electronics brands.

Familiar is a collective focused on the construction of sound devices, circuit modification and retrocomputing for creative purposes that promotes and encourages the use of technologies and tools for cultural development of free circulation to the general public. With more than six years of experience, Familiar has already held many workshops throughout Spain, Lisbon, Marseille, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Gent and several Familiar Fest, a festival that combines experimental music with various workshops and seminars.

Eloquencer is the first product of Winter Modular, the Barcelona based brand of Eloi Flores. It is a Eurorack sequencer that revolves around the concept of “controlled randomness”: you decide when there will be randomness, and how it will affect the sequences.
Designed for both live and production, it offers eight CVs and gates tracks in a 16-step layout, but patterns can be looped to reach 256 steps. Although the main part of the control is made with a generous supply of touch buttons, a small OLED display gives contextual information of all parameters and menu access.
