The artist in residence Eliana Beltrán participates in the exhibition “4 X10 Exploraciones sonoras sobre el tiempo”, which takes place within the framework of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Museum of Modern Art in Medellin. The exhibition, which can be seen until June 4, brings together ten sound proposals from different groups and artists of Medellín, invited to reflect on the concept of time from the composition of unpublished pieces of four minutes for a system of multiple speakers.

In the work “Venetia Phair said Pluto”, Beltrán brings together fragments of texts on the concept of deep time in geology; ancient theories about the origin of the material of the earth’s crust (plutonism / neptunism) and performs readings of Jimmie Durham and Richard Serra, which combines with the sound of a lithophone built by herself. The piece will be reproduced in room LAB3.
