On Saturday 6th July at 8:15 pm Jan Mech will play a new (short) piece called Agudells con Lluís Maria Vidal : 8:15 pm at the festival Caminart organized by Bocanord

Agudells withLluís Maria Vidal
Is a real time composition of contempotary electronic music that evolves around field recordings taken at the same place as the performance takes place. Recoded samples mix with synthetically created sound and the real sounds occurring unpredictably at the moment of the concert mingle into a complex sound structure. For his music performances Jan Mech focuses on the gestural aspect of playing electronic music. Even though all sounds are finally created by a computer Jan uses a variety of controllers that allow him to play the computer as it would be a traditional instrument. For this concert he uses a Wii-Remote Controll, a modified microphone stand and standard MIDI controllers.
Duration: Approximately 15 min.
