Work presentation and project advice with Merche Blasco

Every thursday Hangar LABS and the resident projects offer free counseling service on electronic music, streaming and public art. Ina timely and special manner we would like to include the participation of the artists and researchers who have somehow collaborated with Hangar.

For the session on thursday september 29th at 19.00 h the multimedia artist and resident composer in New York, Merche Blasco will be sharing with us her latest projects and also she will be available for both projective and technical advice.

Her work focuses on the development and implementation of new instruments for the interpretation of electronic music, the creation of participatory sound performances and electroacustic improvisation.

Among others,  she has presented her work in the framework of conferences like NIME, SONAR (BCN), Make Music NY, SONIC Festival (NYC), Mapping Festival (Geneva), Queens Museum of Art (NYC), Harvestworks (NYC), and the Museo De Arte Contemporáneo in Santiago de Chile.

Her work has been featured in media like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Wire Magazine.
