RepRap 3D printer Workshop

The workshop consists of building a RepRap printer from scratch (Prusa i3 model).

Starting with a brief introduction to the RepRap project: its historical development and current trends, we will learn how to assemble every part of a 3D printer and how they work. At the end of the workshop we will do the first prints.

No knowledge in any subject requiered, elementary level in computer science.

All software and hardware used in the workshop is open source.

Gerard Rubio, member of the blablabLAB collective, has been working with RepRap printers (Darwin, Rapman, Tom Prusa, Printrbot) since 2008. Hi has worked in several projects using this technology, most notably in Be Your Own Souvenir, honoray mention in Ars 2011.
