Third edition DIY microscope workshop

On May 8th at 6.30 pm, the IMVEC residence collective proposes an appointment to build DIY microscopes in the Hangar wetlab.

Contents: We will guide the participants through the construction of their own microscope with affordable materials: cardboard, screws, web cameras and tape. The model is built in half an hour and is connected to a smartphone or laptop. We will see samples of water and plants from nearby places and talk about the ways in which the use of DIY science tools can lead to significant discovery, empowerment of citizens and self-defence of territories. Each participant will finish the workshop with their own microscope:

Objectives: Construction of a microscope and understanding of the fundamentals of microscopy.

Duration: 2 h

Schedule: 18.30 h

Registration fee: 25 €. If you can’t pay the price, contact us and we’ll handle the situation. Founder of the collective projects resident in Hangar IMVEC and Voizes Archive, has participated in collective exhibitions in Spain, United States, Peru, Sweden, Italy, Australia, Greece and England.
