International Exchange Grant Residency Program between MIS Museu de Imagem e do Som in São Paulo, Brazil and Hangar

In 2011 Anaísa Franco received the VI Edition of ARCOmadrid/BEEP Electronic Art Award for the work Expanded eye, developed in MediaLab Prado (Madrid, 2008) and did a residence at L´Estruch in Barcelona developing ThroughOut Breathing financed by MINC. From this moment, she has beed exhibiting all over the world, but she had a solid career: during 2010 she got the grant MIS-Hangar in Barcelona, in which stage she developed Alienated Routine, a grant of SIG and a residency in TAV Artista TAipei (Taiwan), a grant of Sacatar Foundation. During 2009 she did a residence at MSI Museum of Image and Sound in Sao Paulo (Brazil).

Her proposals are suspended robotic sculptures that interconnect the physical with the digital in form of animations and intensities, searching for a chemical between materials, using concepts of psychology and dreams she provides an imagination and feelings for the sculptures, exploring human body’s expansion.
