This workshop will gravitate around the imaginary of the algorithms, but beyond the code and the formulas. It is proposed to playfully re-visit two experiments that had great importance in the research history of Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.

DIY for New Artesans. Introduction course to the construction and assembly

This workshop aims to be an introduction to volumetric and three-dimensional construction. An approach to materials (wood, iron and methacrylate) how to treat them, understand them and work them. A first direct contact to project and solve problems related to construction in an easy and spontaneous way.

This audiovisual creation workshop promoted from the collaboration between HAMACA and HANGAR is aimed at those who wish to work on the form of film-essay as a means of expression. Digital art prompts to ask: What does cinema do nowadays? What remains of your relationship the real? Why and why do I compulsively accumulate images on the computer? What can I do with them?

This course explores theoretically and practically the art on the Internet, its aesthetic, social and technological evolution, going through the history of net art and other computational art practices since the mid-20th century, studying reference cases that reach algorithmic and generative design, virtual narrative and cyber poetry, expanded cinema, satellite art, videogames and online animation, glitch art, vaporwave and autonomous and generative systems.

The Interactive Interfaces workshop provides the knowledge to create interactive prototypes using the Vvvv software and various devices such as: Kinect (recognition of the human body), EEG (Control with thought), and Smartphone (touch on the screen).

Olfactory Landscapes by Klara Ravat
May 11 and 12, 2018
During this workshop we will learn the possibilities that odor offers us as an appropriate medium for creative production. How does the smell work? Why is it so strongly connected with our emotions and memory? Participants will also learn to extract olfactory components of organic materials through steam distillation, and other objects. We can all take samples of distilled materials home.
