Anna Recasens Gil

Visual artist, cultural activist, set designer, teacher and urban horticulturist. Anna Recasens Gil combines individual and collective artistic proposals with educational works and cultural agitation / management. She is interested in the relation between art and everyday life, the interaction between landscape and community, and the development of creative strategies which can promote social transformation, pro-common, self-management and the exchange of knowledge. Among her projects they highlight: Els primers petons, Teixint el temps and Manuales de activismo creativo.

She manages LArc, an itinerant space for the development of cultural micro-projects and libraries in specific places; she is founding member of the collective Acció Cultural Metropolitana and from 2008, she is a member of the team Idensitat.
