Mireia C. Saladrigues
Mireia C. Saladrigues, Terrassa 1978
Period of residence: March – October 2011 / January 2012 – March 2014
Mireia C. Saladrigues focuses her practice in the study of public roads and the conditions of reception that is exposed to the viewer. Often, her proposal is a provision for reflection and renegotiation of meaning in relation to art and culture, where knowledge is presented as a process rather than as a finished product.
The participatory nature of her emerging projects led her to investigate the public’s role and the mechanisms of work’s reception, but also show a general lack of discussion of logical thought after theorizing about art relational and contextual art participatory art. This is and has been the focus of most of its projects from The Power of the Call, a proposal that looked into the reasons why a person ends participate (or not) in an art project.
Last exhibitions: Mi Museo at Espai 13 of Fundació Miró (2011); Radicalment Emancipats(s) at Caja Madrid (2011); Juegos Reunidos at La Fábrica de Sant Andreu, Barcelona (2011).
