An anthropologist and film director, Sylvie Marchand was also trained as a circus artist. She federates the Gigacircus new media art group around  nomadic art works : transhumance, european pilgrimage, Mongol or Kirghiz pastoralism, world migration, Tarahumara dance rituals ; her works question the cultural implications of mobility.

With her company of traveling artists, she interweaves materials of Land Art and virtual spaces in ephemeral devices installed in nature, or in the heart of cities.

Offering us opened and renewed visions of the world, Gigacircus leads the public to experience sensory journeys.
