Rémi Bragard
Marseille (France), 1978.
Period of residence: 2006
Rémi Bragard‘s artworks reveal savant curiosity for the scientific object. Sculptural (in large part), they organise formal and technical researchs, with a keen eye for empirical experience. This particular interest for the phenomena (caléfaction, corrosion, and concentration of intensities) fuels the development of an opened work essentially anchored in reality.
By working with energies and forces of nature, the artist expresses a deaf violence. He conveys the spectator to circle around these objects, whose contained energy, which in essence reveals an artistic practice in tension.
His work has been shown in many solo and collective exhibitions in Marseille, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona or Wien. Nowadays, he lives and works in Marseille.
