CampoBase
Encura #4 residency
January - March 2020
CampoBase is a curatorial collective founded in 2019.
After a year of activities inside its space in via Reggio 14 in Turin, it continues to operate as an itinerant platform. CampoBase adopts discursive practices and experimental approaches, aiming at activating collective processes of knowledge, through the creation of an open environment that favors public occasions of meeting, confrontation and dialogue. Its programme alternates workshops, events, exhibition projects and formats, such as critique sessions, screenings and thematic focuses. Its curatorial work is conceived as a dynamic field aimed at creating a temporary reality: a welcoming platform responding to the need of placing the action into a wider context, making it resonant through the interaction with the geographical context but also with the practical and linguistic dislocation.
CampoBase’s main focus is the issue of displacement, intended as a shared contemporary experience, which is developed through the format of a festival that includes artistic, performative and theoretical interventions. By reasoning and articulating a new significance on the theme of displacement, CampoBase looks for a shift, a different awareness in relation to this contemporary condition that does not limit itself to critically observe its complexities but to design new opportunities for action.
CampoBase is composed by Irene Angenica, Bianca Buccioli, Gabriella Dal Lago, Ginevra Ludovici, Federica Torgano, Stefano Volpato.
Irene Angenica, as representative of CampoBase collective, is the resident in the programme-collaboration Encura #4.
