Mexican Artist specialized in textile. She is member of the colectives known as ‘la flea‘ and ‘artextiles’. Apart from textile she has also worked with video and installations . Her project “CHAMARRO “ continues her research on the relationship between traditional textiles and the identity of the indigenous communities of her country. She understands this production as a language and a way of expression of a culture marked by a textile production imposed during the colonial and post colonial period.
During her stay in Hangar, she will work on the processes of identity construction through interventions in various Mexican traditional textiles using several techniques used in the Spanish textile production nowadays.
