Luciana Damiani

Luciana Damiani has a Degree in Plastic and Visual Arts in Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Uruguay. In addition, she is a member of the Fundación de Arte Contemporáneo (FAC) since 2009.

Her photographic works turn around the idea that reality goes beyond here and now, and reflects on the question about psyche constitution, as a result of the sum of life experiences and emotions, feelings and thoughts. From this point, the artist starts working about the fragility of time and facts, laces and breaks, about the imaginary line that orders us chronologically and converts us to a only today: the today of the injured sensibility.

In 2010 she took part in the exhibition “Llamale H” with her piece “Tu amor afecta”, which guaranteed her the first prize. Also in 2010, she took part in the 54º Premio Nacional de Artes Visuales – CAmelo ARden Quin, where she received the prize Centro Cultural de España for her piece “Sutio y perversa”. Her artwork is permanently shown in FAC.
