Dea Woon Kang was born in South Korea although he is an artist living and working in Tenerife, Spain. He studied Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts in Angers, France. After having dedicated to video creation, drawing, sculpture and photography, nowadays he dedicates himself primarily to the animated image.
His works are characterized by a desire to leave the traditional projection formats and play with the different relationships that can be established between visual and spatial elements. Results primarily audiovisual performances, 3D mapping, installation, spot, lighting and scenery. Embodiments, often in-situ, are strongly influenced by the own questions linked locus thereof. Regularly collaborated with numerous artists.
