“Itinerant Actions: recording and broadcasting” with Luce Choules
“Nature as a whole is a system in which information disintegrates progressively… Human beings struggle against this natural entropy not only by receiving information but also storing and passing it on…” (Vilém Flusser, Towards a Philosophy of Photography).
On March 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Luce Choules presents the workshop Itinerant Actions: recording and broadcasting in the framework of the Paratext to be held on the same day at 7 p.m. Both activities will take place in Hangar’s Sala Ricson.
During this workshop the erosion and disintegration of Earth systems and collapsing structures in the natural and built environment will be discused. As a starting point, participants will be asked to introduce an object and its context to the group. The object can be something found or made, that suggests or indicates a process of weathering. Participants must be prepared to talk about this object, and take part in a writing exercise and discussion.
The workshop concludes with a 15-minute reading by Luce Choules, and a 30-minute Q&A.
In order to join the activity, please send an email to belen(at)hangar.org.
