New Board of Trustees of the AAVC Private Foundation
In 2020 there will be a total renewal of the Board of Trustees of the AAVC Private Foundation. In order to guarantee maximum representativeness and identification with the audiovisual art world, during the last year the outgoing board has been working to bring together a sufficient critical mass to guarantee maximum legitimacy and give maximum support to the process of change.
During the last year, the Governance Commission elected by the AAVC Private Foundation Board of Trustees has been working on the search for the most suitable and transparent formula for the election of the new Board of Trustees. Likewise, it has sought to provide the support procedure with a sufficient critical mass to guarantee that the chosen board can carry out its project for the Foundation with maximum solvency, support and efficiency. The profile requested from the possible members of the new board, very diverse, aims to make possible the collaboration in the cultural and artistic project of the Foundation of the maximum number of entities and associations.
A first step in this framework of collaboration has been a frank and open dialogue with the PAAC, in order for this entity to help in the process of configuring the new Board of Trustees, which must finally be elected in the terms established by the statutes of the AAVC Foundation. This collaboration has to be understood as the first step of many others to come and must allow other entities and artistic and cultural associations to participate in our project in the future.
For this reason, it has been decided to set up a list of 28 candidates including artists and professionals in the visual arts and research and research, which will be submitted to the consideration of the PAAC assembly to make possible the election of a new board according to the procedure established in the statutes of the AAVC Private Foundation, a board that should have the presence of audiovisual artists and gender parity.
