Katrin Ströbel (Pforzheim, 1975) lives and works in Stuttgart, Marseille and Rabat. She studied Visual arts at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart – State Academy of Fine Arts, and Literature at University Stuttgart. Katrin Ströbel holds a PhD in art history at University Marburg. Since 2013 she teaches at the Villa Arson, Nice, France.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in solo and groups exhibitions Savvy Contemporary Berlin, MACAAL Musée d’art contemporain africain Al Maaden, Marrakesh, ZKM Karlsruhe, Kunstmuseum Siegen, La Kunsthalle Mulhouse, Casablanca Biennale, Les Brasseurs art contemporain Liège and at Friche la Belle de Mai, Marseille.
Her work has been collected by private and public collections such as Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Kunstmuseum Mülheim, FRAC PACA Marseille, FRAC Lorraine Metz, Fond Communal Marseille.
Katrin received several grants such as Stiftung Kunstfond Bonn, Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg Stuttgart, Cité internationale des Arts Paris, Deutsches Studienzentrum Venice.
In 2019, Katrin Ströbel has been awarded with the Hans Molfenter Preis der Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart.
At the moment, her work is shown at Kunstmuseum Stuttgart and MAMAC Musée d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain, Nice.
Mohammed Laouli (Rabat, 1972) lives and works in Stuttgart, Marseille and Rabat. The artist studied philosophy at University Mohammed V in Rabat. Laouli’s work has been subject of several individual and collective exhibitions such as Centre de la Photographie Marseille, Tate Modern London, Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen, Dakar Biennale, Marrakech Biennale, IFA gallery Berlin, ZKM Karlsruhe, MuCEM Marseille, Kunstverein Neuhausen, MACAAL Musée d’art contemporain africain Al Maaden Marrakesh, Galerie Lisi Hämmerle Bregenz or La Centrale for Contemporary Art in Brussels.
Mohammed Laouli received several grants such as Cité internationale des Arts Paris, Residence Mediterannée Marseille, Travelling Narratives Algiers. At the moment Mohammed Laouli participates in exhibitions at Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid and Joest-Rautenstrauch Museum, Cologne.
