Lola Lasurt Bachs

Lola Lasurt Bachs ‘s work starts off graphic material, witness of a previous period and, therefore, of a temporary space that she has never lived in. She works with aspects that bring us back to the past as a present necessity, when it becomes confusing and unmanageable. She works with graphic material from the time just before herself, and with the paradoxes of an age that was supposed to bring many changes. This way, she claims the individual historical time starting from her own family albums, where the referents operate as a narrative structures to treat subjects that might imply an identification element to some collectives by a recognition process. In turn, she questions concrete editions from the 70’, that she understands as a behavior  manuals for the hegemonic culture.
