ONLINE PUBLISHING TOOLS
The aim of this intensive course is to have artists learn to move skillfully within a digital environment. The Internet is a space full of possibilities for the promotion artists’ work. They will discover online tools and platforms that will be essential to gain visibility on the Internet. They will learn to promote their work on the Web 2.0, to detect and participate in specific social networks for artists, and to use the enormous quantity of resources available on the net.

MAKE YOUR OWN WEBSITE. DESKTOP PUBLISHING FOR ARTISTS’ WEBSITES (CMS SYSTEMS)
The aim of this course is to teach artists the basic knowledge needed to set up their websites. It is therefore a practical course where they will learn how to install, implement and design a website, using a CMS system. We will explain the basic workings of servers, Apache combination, MySQL, and PHP to set up a dynamic website, as well as the technology and tools needed to create and maintain a website. Each participant will begin setting up their own website on the hosting offered by the AAVC (and sponsored by CDMON) through a CMS system such as Indexhibit or WordPress. They will leave the course with their own finished website, ready to upload content to it.
Duration: 20 hours
5 sessions, 4 hours each, of which 1 session will be a follow-up session 2 weeks after the end of the course.
