Collective micro-residency around death and mourning
Collective micro-residency to cross research, experiences and creation around death and mourning with DU-DA, Isabel de Naverán, Marta Echaves, Arantxa Martínez and Sara Torres.
Hangar and La Poderosa open up a space-time to connect different practices related to death and mourning. For two days, the meeting brings together writers who, from different languages, anchorages and scales, have dealt or are dealing with the shock of death: DU-DA (a collective founded by Clara Piazuelo and Sarai Cumplido that questions our ways of living together in order to imagine possible presents and futures); Isabel de Naverán (researcher at the intersection of art, contemporary choreography and performance); Marta Echaves (researcher and programmer at the intersection of art, history and writing); Arantxa Martínez (artist, dancer and performer) and Sara Torres (poet and novelist).
The common denominator between the Hangar and La Poderosa is that they sometimes accompany research or creative processes by identifying the symptoms – in this case, those of a world traversed by death and yet detached from it or from that which is dying – and by bringing together those who deal with them in order to reconcile mutual knowledge and support. This meeting is a research environment that is currently closed to the public.
Days: 31 January and 1 February
Place: Hangar
