Zora Lucent & Elyssa Fonicello + Ona Tzar + nara is neus + Ivana Ray Singh
On November 17th, the orbital collective Dublab presents the live performances of Zora Lucent & Elyssa Fonicello + Ona Tzar + nara is neus + Ivana Ray Singh.
Presenting a performance experience described as “elemental spiritual sci-fi,” Zora Lucent (music) and Elyssa Fonicello (movement) create a summoning circle of spectral presence in which they explore watery depths and introspective otherworlds. Lucent fuses unsettling and ethereal vocal processing, early choral singing, and earth-shaking electronic textures to create layered soundscapes in conversation with Fonicello’s expansive and magnetic movement.
Ona Tzar is an emotionally evocative live performer, music producer, singer, visual artist, and art director based London . Her sonic world fuses and touches upon elements of experimental electronic, modern trip hop, industrial and dark pop, with gritty textures serenading orchestral undertones, grooveable beats, and sultry to ethereal vocals. Her sonic world is heavily entangled with the visual; interweaving a personalized and hand created light show, dance, and curation of aesthetic world. Elements of futurism, surrealism, emotive performance and sensuality can be found throughout her work and performance.
nara is neus — aka Neus Abellan (she/they) — is a physicist, musician and producer of avant-garde music and soundtracks from Barcelona. The project responds to the aesthetic shaped as an ode to darkness, beauty and imperfection. The recent lines of research range from exploring the limits between the organic and the digital world to reinterpretations of classical pieces, sound design for video installations, soundtracks and auto-generative songs. They are also working as head of contents at dublab.es.
Ivana Ray Singh, aka Lucy Tcherno Ivanenko, is a multidisciplinary artist, cultural agitator, vocalist and DJ born and raised in Menorca. She is a member and permanent resident of Konvent (artist community and Cultural Centre in Cal Rosal, Catalonia). Both with her group Amas and as a DJ she has performed at festivals such as Ombra, BAM!, Sónar and MEM (Bilbao), and also international venues. The past months of July and August she has toured Europe as a solo artist presenting “Entanglements that Matter”, a sonic and performance-art experience, inspired by concepts of quantum physics informing intersectional feminism.
