Sooyoung Lee studied Fine Art at Seul University and did a master in Fine Arts at Queens College New York. During 2010, Lee got an exchange scholarship between SAS Geumcheon in Seul and Hangar in Barcelona, under the international residences program with the support of AECID, for which thing he resides temporally in Barcelona. His artwork is based principally on the archive and documentation. He has done many exhibitions in empty houses and shops, supermarkets, office buildings, public baths, as well as in galleries and museums in Seül, Uzbekistan and Düsseldorf, among others.
