LUMA AND APATCHES WIN THE LIVE CINEMA COMPETITION AT REC

The Live Cinema jury has decided, by majority vote, to give the prize (worth 2.000€) to LUMA, for the "Principios y Elementos" show.  With this prize, the jury wanted to value the multidisciplinary character of the work, where experimentation with a multi-screen device and the synthesis of analogue and digital elements converge with the elegance of their visuals and live music. The jury wants to recognise, amongst other projects that were presented, the commitment to risk displayed in this project.

The jury of this section has also decided unanimously to give the prize Emergente-Hangar to the work with the most potential (worth 1.000€ and a production residency in Hangar) to  APATCHES, for the show DESCONEXIÓN. The jury has wanted to highlight with this prize the value of a proposal that is a hybrid of dance, audiovisuals, interactivity and real time internet, incorporating both space and context within the performance. The jury would like to support the development of the line of work provided within this work in process.   .
