Douwe Dijkstra is a video artist and filmmaker. She participate as an individual artist in projects that are experimental in nature. Ranging from music videos and short films to video installations and theatre. Sometimes she do commissioned works.
She has a group of visual artists with Jules van Hulst and Coen Huisman, whom founded 33 1/3 Collective. They try to expand their individual areas of work with the exploration of the use of multimedia environments, projections and performances to tell their stories. In 2006 she helped start Festina Lente Collective, a creative Amsterdam based network/agency.
