Josep Maria Rius is a writer and illustrator known by the pseudonym of Joma. He graduated in Information Sciences (Journalism), graduated in History at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and graphic designer from the School of Applied Arts and Crafts in Barcelona.
He began his career as an illustrator in publishing drawings humor magazines. Later he worked as a draftsman and other specialized periodicals such as Tele / express and the Diario de Barcelona, or some magazines such as Cavall Fort, Thursday, El Cuervo, etc. He has also worked in specialized publications in children’s literature. He has illustrated books as own texts and other authors.
