Lucía Egaña takes part at Challenging Corporealities
On Friday November 10th the resident Lucía Egaña will take part to the congress Challenging Corporealities that it will take place in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Barcelona.
Challenging Corporealities: Reconfigurations between Materiality and Discursivity aims at bringing together researchers working on recent material and discursive reconfigurations that have set out to explore the corporeal: politicizations of discomfort in which the causality of material conditions is once again taken into consideration; the decentring of the subject to highlight object agency and “vibrant materialities”; discourses on biological issues that challenge normative conceptions of sex and gender through corporeal materiality; concepts and theories offering alternative tools to approach the corporeal in artistic creation, and other phenomena in which the hitherto neglected body is given greater significance.
