DU-DA
DU-DA is an artistic collective that develops projects in mediation, research and artistic creation, as well as curatorial and cultural production initiatives.
All of their artistic projects have a relational element, stimulate collective processes and frequently engage with critical perspectives on dominant power structures. They raise questions about ways of cohabiting in order to imagine alternative present and future scenarios.
They have received support from the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation (2024–2025) for their research line Morir Guay with the project Aprendizajes colectivos para rediseñar la muerte, as well as the OSIC 2024 grant. In 2023, they were awarded the CREA grant for I eat the stars; in 2022, the BKFMACBA grant for El último aliento; in 2021, the Barcelona Producció grant for Morir guay: Rituales de Transición; in 2020, the UNZIP grant in the Art and Education category for Médiums: una exploración colectiva sobre lo invisible; and also in 2020, the research grant from La Escocesa for Morir guay: Voces y relatos para no tener miedo.
They exhibited at the Centre d’Arts Santa Mònica in 2024 with the installation Tu cuerpo la ofrenda, de la planta, la fiesta, and at CC Baró de Viver, CC Navas, and CC La Casa Elizalde as part of the Temporals 2025 program with De esta carne nacerán flores. Their projects have also been exhibited at institutions such as MACBA, CCCB, La Capella, El Graner, La Casa Encendida, Matadero, Tabakalera, La Mutant, and CEAC, among others, in Barcelona and Madrid, Donostia, and Valencia, and Strasbourg.
In the field of curatorship and cultural production, they have worked with the Barcelona City Council, the Barcelona LGTBI+ Centre, Hangar, La Escocesa and LR3.
