#Blendícete
#Blendícete is an initiative that joins various efforts to share collective knowledge about art and digital fabrication.
It consists of a series of workshops focused on teaching the many facets of 3D creation using the open source software Blender. The project aims to provide both technical and creative training to a diverse community, promoting the use of open source tools and encouraging digital fabrication.
Founded in 2021 by Desirée Quevedo, #Blendícete has played an important role in training and mentoring artists, designers and digital art enthusiasts, offering comprehensive guidance in areas such as modelling, animation and 3D printing.
The project is conceived as an accessible platform that promotes the culture of open source software and the DIY/DIWO spirit. It’s a space where the well-being of participants and collaborators is paramount, fostering a learning environment where comfort and trust are essential for exploring and acquiring new skills. Blendícete encourages curiosity and invites participants to ask questions, explore new ideas and enjoy the creative process without pressure or self-imposed demands.
The aim is to build a collaborative community around 3D creation, where the learning environment becomes a key tool for experimentation and development. In addition to workshops, the project offers 3D printing services to facilitate self-production and sustainable digital fabrication, as well as consultancy on projects related to 3D design/animation and new forms of production within a framework of ethical, responsible and collaborative practices.
