Floy Krouchi presents the radio totem Tous mes enfants

The artist in residence Floy Krouchi presents the radio totem Tous mes enfants in France Culture. A sort of continuation to Il y a des inconnus qui coulent dans mes veines (Atelier de Création Radiophonique 2013 / France Culture)  with which he continues his research on genealogy issues.

In “baby” there is two times being: being squared, being2. For this piece Krouchi is based on the figure of the totem, ritual object, link and interface between the elements of the living: what the totem means. Calling Donna Haraway, a shaman character played by Natacha Muslera and the earth recordings of the biologist Guillaume Lecointre, Floy uses sound as an autobiographical, anthropological and poetic tool to capture the underlying, unconscious phenomena, the transversal features that develop in genealogical lineages, between species and in motherhood.

Il y a des inconnus qui coulent dans mes veines a genealogical attempt,Atelier de Creation Radiophonique , France Culture, 2013, questions the fragile frontier between autobiography and fiction, and creates a space where each voice re-composes a genealogy. Identity is in search of itself, lost and found again, deconstructed. Unlimited inventions of the self follow one another and remember each other, in a world at the same time collapsing and renewed. A multitude of itineraries united, separated…The piece explores the mirror images between personal and collective history between the universe, the individual and the cell.
