Premiere of the Encreuaments laboratory
Patricia Fernández has been part of the Encreuaments laboratory, one of the five projects that are part of the first season of ART i PART, the community creation programme promoted by the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona, which premieres on 15 June at 18h in Sala Beckett.
Encreuaments a Vanuatu is the result of the creation laboratory Encreuaments, which emerged from the Sala Beckett cycle “Les condicions del cervell”, and aims to generate links between the cultural facilities of the neighbourhood and with the public in order to erase stigmas, break down prejudices, and at the same time offer artistic tools to give a voice to a group that is often invisible, misunderstood and discriminated against.
The artistic laboratory Encreuaments is part of the ART i PART programme of community artistic creation in the neighbourhoods of the Ajuntament de Barcelona and has the artistic direction of Lali Álvarez and Jorge-Yamam Serrano. Aside from Sala Beckett and the Fundació Joia, the initiative has several agents from Poblenou: Can Felipa, La Escocesa, Hangar and the District of Sant Martí. The initiative is part of the Barcelona Districte Cultural de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona, more specifically the ART i PART programme for community artistic creation in the neighbourhoods.
