Trobada with Shawn Lawson and Jaime Lobato
On June 16th, collective in residence Toplap presents Trobada with Shawn Lawson and Jaime Lobato. A Trobada is a space where the members of the live coding community present their works and talk about their different approaches to this practice. In this occasion Iván Paz will present the works of Jaime Lobato and Shawn Lawson.
Shawn Lawson is a computational artist and researcher. He performs under the pseudonym Obi-Wan Codenobi where he live-codes real-time computer graphics with his open source software. Shawn will perform together with Ryan Ross Smith who is a composer, performer, sound designer, engineer and educator currently based in New York.
Jaime Lobato is a multimedia artist, composer, curator and independent researcher. Jaime will present his work on Neurocomputing. In particular, about two projects that relate neuroscience with live coding and algorithmic composition: MindCoding a platform to make computer programs with an electroencephalogram and Neural circuit bending a system of algorithmic composition with biofeedback made of a live neurons circuit.
