Results of the call Barcelona Crea. Practicable Research and Experimentation Grant
Meeting on August 1, 2024, a jury composed by Anna Manubens (Hangar Director), Antonio Gagliano (Head of Contexts and Research Programs) and Jaume Ferrete (Artist), chose, among the 53 valid applications received, the project by Manglar collective (Tatiana Afanador López, Magdalena Hart, Lara Campos, Rafael Frazão, Ce Quimera, txe roimeser and Tau Luna Acosta) as the winner of the Barcelona Crea Research and Practicable Experimentation Grant, and Xavier Acarín‘s project as a finalist in case of substitution.
Based on experimenting different forms of coexistence, Manglar connects with Hangar’s long-standing research threads around transhackfeminism. It proposes a high cycle in the libidinal tide of collective work with the intention of creating a space for the exchange of practices on the concept of situated sciences, that is, practices of recognition and enchantment with the worlds that include the body of the scientist in the experience, that assume and deepen the de-universalization of the scientific gesture.
Hangar would like to thank all the candidates for their dedicated time and for projecting in this program a possibility to host, accompany and make their research grow.
