Production grants 2021

Hangar, a visual arts production and research center based in Barcelona, is launching a call for two production grants. With these grants, Hangar provides the budget, space and technical conditions for the production of a work and the contribution to its dissemination in a professional environment. Although these grants are focused on the production of a project, it is not required that the process must be completed by the end of the grant.

TERMS

Benefits and economic endowment of the grant
– 5000 € for each grant (not cumulative) for the development of the chosen project.
– Technical advice to the production.
Note: In case of requiring exclusive technical dedication to the project, the costs of Hangar’s technical staff will be charged to the production budget.

Recipients
Participation in this call is open to all individual and collective artists and creators working in the field of contemporary creation. In the case of collectives, a person in charge of the project must be established.

The production grants are aimed at artists with original and unpublished projects, and special value will be given to the soundness of the project and its adaptation to the budget and schedule proposed in the dossier submitted to the call.

Note:
– One of the two places in this call will be reserved for Hangar resident artists.
– These grants do not cover travel expenses between the place of residence and the center, nor do they cover living expenses.
