Hamaca
Hamaca is a non-profit association that aims to preserve, disseminate and distribute in a national and international sphere the video made in the Spanish context as well as generate an economic flow for the artists’ production. The name HAMACA responds to the type of operating system under which it pretends to work: to be a horizontal network conected by several points.
The creation of the archive in 2007 allowed to compile in different formats the main works in video from the 70′ to the present. At the moment rely on a catalog of more than 1.000 titles of the main artists of the field, that is updated bi-annually through the selection of a jury formed by expert professionals of the video and of the visual arts.
