Open Thursdays consultancies

Open Thursdays are weekly meetings open to artists, creators and developers from different disciplines of electronic art who want to work with open source hardware and software tools. In them, experts in technology and open source tools from Hangar Labs and the collectives-in-residence are available to exchange ideas, share resources, offer advice, solve doubts, or to make known what they are working on; favoring a space for the free transfer of knowledge.

Open Thursdays are held every Thursday from 5 pm to 9 pm and attendance is free. The visits can be in person or virtual, in both cases always by appointment.

The center’s laboratories and collectives that offer consultation are as the following:

Labs:

– In the Soft/hardware and interaction lab consultancies are offered for people who are developing projects with free software and hardware and are not aware of the technical issues, but they need support to solve problems, reorient the development or know alternatives. Mail: miguel(at)hangar.org

– In the Production Lab, consultancies are offered for issues related to production, realization of feasibility reports, budgets and production coordination. Mail: pense(at)hangar.org

– In the Construction Lab, technical assistance is offered for questions related to the manufacture of a work, as well as support for construction problems, reorientation in the development of parts or manufacturing alternatives or materials. Mail: pense(at)hangar.org

– In the Lab interfaces and networks we offer consulting services for artists, collectives or organizations that are developing or want to develop a project with free software, that may or may not know the technical issues, but that occasionally need support to solve problems, reorient the development or explore alternatives.
