Recorrido fílmico, workshop by Crater-Lab

The Crater-Lab Project in Residence presents Recorrido fílmico, an introductory workshop to the 16mm black and white film process to learn about the possibilities of working in analogue format.

The aim of the workshop is to experience the process of creating an analogue image, from the first shot in the camera to the final positivation. After a theoretical introduction to the different types of film and emulsions, we will move on to the practical part where we will learn how to use the Bolex and see the whole development process, including preparing the chemicals and learning how to load the film into the tank. The results will be analysed for printing, a process that will serve to approach the use of the Contact Printer, and finally we will move on to the projection of all the material generated.
