Intra Protocol > Performance by Sally Golding & Matt Spendlove

The Crater-Lab residency project presents Intra Protocol, an experiment in revisiting and representing a performance across time and space through multiple versions, either solo or duo, by Sally Golding and Matt Spendlove (aka “spatial”). The work takes form and occupies the space in which it is performed, interweaving bent broken sounds, monolithic nebulous screens, and shifting fields of light. Intra Protocol plays with anticipation to use the site (and the audience participants themselves) as a creative and collaborative device. Originally performed at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image and programmed by Liquid Architecture to accompany the exhibition “Light: Works from Tate’s Collection”, and subsequently at Gray Area, San Francisco, this newly revised performance has been created especially for the SPECTRAL project, a consortium led by several artist-run self-managed laboratories, supported as a Creative Europe program.
