To change, to move, to experience, to test… By the artist Mercedes González, this is the fundamental base in an artist’s work. In her own work, concepts like past and future, the childhood, religion and tradition, or the death, are represented by direct graphical images.
Her paintings are the result of mixing traditional techniques and something that can be considered as “new urban techniques”, like stencil or illustration resources. Full of color, her canvas are always hiding something dark, and drive the viewer to reflect about profound concepts about our society.
