Paula Pérez-Roda, PhD in Cultural Studies from Princeton University (2023), is a researcher, artist, and editor. Her research explores the technological and cultural order of verbal and textual arts, the history of literate processes and radical and collective creative practices. She has received support from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Princeton University, the Government of Catalonia, Matadero-Madrid, and the Conferencia de Rectores de las Universidades de España. She has published in specialized and general journals such as Revista Concreta, Anuario de Literatura Comparada, Anuario de Glotopolítica, or Kamchatka, as well as in various collective volumes and artistic publications. She has taught research seminars, popular education, and critical studies in artistic and university settings, as well as artistic and editorial workshops. Together with Jonás de Murias, she forms the tacoderaya collective, with works such as “1 ola majestik en mi balconee”, “titula este truste ánimo yop uwu” or “(HAY UNA PELEA E IMPORTA QUE PASE”. She has been part of public thought initiatives such as the Euraca Seminar and has participated in exhibitions and public programs at Santa Mònica, Matadero-Madrid, or L’Internationale Online. She collaborates with the research project Cartografías vitales of the Instituto de Lengua, Literatura y Antropología del CSIC. In her doctoral thesis, VERBOEXORBITANCIAS: El paso de la literatura a las artes verbales en España, 1909-1936 she recounts the transition from literary imaginations and operations to contemporary vocal and performative art and popular literary utopias based on the notion of verbal arts.
