MIRA X HANGAR OPEN CALL – Immersive narratives for 360º projection dome

MIRA Digital Arts Festival and Hangar join forces to create a series of residencies focused on the creation of immersive content in 360º format for domes and planetariums.

The open call contemplates the creation and research of new narratives for dome and planetariums, and is aimed at national and international artists who need the services and technical support, the workspaces, and the context offered by Hangar and Mira for the development of a 360º piece, in order to present their work within the framework of the celebration of MIRA Festival on 7, 8 and 9 November 2019.

The open call is aimed at carrying out 2 residencies, for a month-long period during October 2019 in Hangar’s facilities.

The open call is intended for participants from any discipline who have previous experience in the development of immersive digital environments. The projects presented should aim to redefine the creation of immersive content, adding, in a distinctive way, elements that enrich the immersive experience for the audience through highlighting the distinctive characteristics of the medium.

The term for submitting applications begins on January 23, 2019 and ends on April 23, 2019. The result of the call will be made public through the Hangar and MIRA websites and their social networks, as well as by contacting directly with the selected artists.

You can access the call here.
