Laura Gozlan and her practice is articulated around experimental films, videos and visual installations made of documents, sculptures and models. She has recently been reappropriating images borrowed from genre cinema and scientific films which she rearranges in the edit with her own rushes. She find interest in scientific and architectural utopias and in the communities which these gather with a predilection for their representation in sub-genre cinema. Her recent works feeds on the character of cosmologist Stephen Hawking and aeronautical History.

From 2007 to 2011, her films were shown at the Grand Palais, Jeu de Paume, during the 2009 Nuit Blanche in Paris, at the French Cinematheque and in festivals such as Premiers Plan d’Angers, Regensburger Kurzfilmwoche, Interfilm Berlin, Loop Barcelona. From 2012 to 2014 her works were exhibited at the 57th Salon de Montrouge, at the Atelier Rouart à Paris, at the Galerie de l’ERG in Bruxelles and at Micro-onde – CAC of Vélizy-Villacoublay.

She studied scenography at TAIK (Helsinki) and at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. She gained a diploma from the Fresnoy, National Studio of Contemporary arts in 2007. From 2008 to 2010 she produced two films within residencies at the Casa de Velazquez, Madrid and Hangar, Barcelona.  She currently lives and works in Paris.
