Lucía Egaña participates in Nuestro deseo es una revolución
Lucia Egaña participates in the collective show Nuestro deseo es una revolución. Imágenes de la diversidad sexual en el Estado español (1977-2017) that can be visited until October 1st in Centro Centro, Madrid.
A review of the LGTBIQ audiovisual culture in Spain since the first demonstration in defense of the rights of gays and lesbians in September 1977 in Barcelona, a milestone that marks the beginning of sexual militancy in our country, until the present. Nuestro deseo es una revolución shows how various gay, lesbian and queer artistic and discursive practices have combined the languages of the artistic avant-garde and the iconography and ways of doing street subcultures to politicize the representation of the body and sexuality, to question the functioning of the Public and private spheres and to re-read the hegemonic history that makes marginal subjects invisible.
