Hangar, centre for visual arts research and production

Hangar’s mission is to support the visual artists and creators during the different phases of their art production processes as well as to contribute to the best development of their projects. For doing so, Hangar facilitates them equipments, facilities, production assistance and a suitable context for experimentation and free knowledge transfer.

The centre offers an array of services and a framework that allows for the research and development of art productions in their entirety, or partially. Hangar follows up on the results by including the projects in various networks and platforms, or by detecting possibilities for their incorporation within other fields.

– Tuesday June 2th from 4pm to 6pm / Coffe with Matteo Lucchetti and Binna Choi curators in residency of BAR Project (Jardín).

– Tuesday June 2th from 6pm to 9pm / Screening of residents artists of Hangar from Hamaca catalog (Sala Ricson).

– Wednesday June 3th and Thursday 4th from 10am to 8pm / Workshop (Loop – Hangar), sound art with Daniel Neumann and Wolfang Gil (Plató foto).

– Wednesday June 3th from 7pm to 9pm / Presentation and video art screening by David Ellis (Sala Ricson).

– June 3-4-8 from 10am to 8pm / sample publications Bau School’students (Antiguas Oficinas).

– Thursday June 4th from 2pm to 8pm /”Edén” Installation-action by Ricardo Iglesias (Plató de foto).

– Thursday June 4th from 6pm to 8pm / Final presentation of european project PIPES Interface Manifiesto, with Soren Pold, César Escudero, Tere Badía, Quelic Berga, Laia Blasco i Andreu Belsucnes. (Sala Ricson).

– Friday June 5th from 12pm to 8pm /”Edén” Installation-actión of Ricardo Iglesias (Plató de foto).

– Friday June 5th from 5pm to 00.00am /”Techhh-no” A talk about Techno and art, leaded by Sonia Fernández Pan and Sergi Botella with Pepo Salazar, Angel Molina, Dj Zero, Roc Jiménez de Cisneros + Lives by Kentaro and aenimal (Sala Ricson)

– Saturday June 6th from 4pm to 10pm / Dorkbot 10º aniversario + Live Befaco (Sala Ricson)

Sunday June 14th / Open Studios from 11am to 2,30pm and 4,30pm to 8pm:

– 11am to 8pm. Video projection del otro lado by the artist Ioana Georgescu (studio)

– 11.00 a 20.00h Interactive installation from a 3D printed “Vernissage” by the artist Marc Serra (Taller)
– 12pm Guided tour to the studios.
– 5pm Guided tour to the studios.
– 6.30pm Presentation of collective Constelaciones (Ricson space)
– 3pm to 9pm service of bar (Chiringo Bar)
